The scenery is breathtaking, with a sea of subtle shades of blue, 🌿 verdant maquis and charming sandy coves surrounded by glistening rocks. A well-maintained path leads to Capu Laurosu beach, one of the largest beaches in Valinco, offering a view of the mouth of the Rizzanese river and the Campomoro tower, a particularly magnificent sight at sunset. Olmeto, a large village of 1,200 inhabitants nestled between sea and mountains, reflects Corsica’s troubled history over the centuries, with the insecurity of barbarian raids and the struggles between local lords. Escape via the narrow streets and staircases that climb to the top of the village, following the itinerary through the village you’ll discover all these places of life and activity of yesteryear, recalling the efforts of a community to live on the spot.

💚 From Ometo to the Chapel of the Holy Spirit

🏴 Leaving the village of Olmeto in the direction of Ajaccio:
a pleasant, signposted path leads to the Chapelle du Saint-Esprit, for a short walk, starting from the Olmeto-Burgo stage, which takes 45 minutes (the same for the return) to reach the chapel. A Way of the Cross accompanies walkers to the chapel.
