Our favourites

The Campomoro Tower

It’s impossible to visit the Sartenais Valinco Taravo region without stopping off at the Tour de Campomoro, one of the most impressive Genoese towers in Corsica. Built in the 16th century to protect the coast from barbarian invasions, it proudly dominates the Bay of Campomoro from its rocky promontory. Accessible by a pleasant 30-minute walk from the village, the tower offers an exceptional panorama of the Gulf of Valinco and the turquoise waters that surround it. Carefully restored, it also houses an exhibition on the Genoese defence system. An emblematic place where heritage, nature and spectacular views come together – a must for lovers of history and grandiose landscapes.
