    Tanchiccia pond

    Take time out, escape for a few hours or a day and stop off at the village of Porto Pollo. First, visit the superb Tanchiccia pond at the entrance to the hamlet. In the commune of Serra di Ferro, this wetland is one of the most emblematic in the region. In an exceptional setting, you’ll see a wide variety of plants, animals and species endemic to the Taravo.

        A place steeped in history

        You can also choose to explore the famous archaeological site of Filitosa. Set in a green landscape, follow in the footsteps of the first Corsicans, travel back in time and discover 8,000 years of history. This prehistoric site is lined with statue-menhirs that will take you back in time. Filitosa is a place steeped in history.

        Finally, you’ll arrive in Porticcio, a seaside resort on the south shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. To see the imperial city: the Fesh museum, Napoleon’s house, Napoleon’s grotto… Drop in at the Ajaccio tourist office, they’ll be able to guide you perfectly.
