The village is situated in the west of the Sartène and is surrounded by the lush vegetation of the maquis. The gilded granite architecture of the old ruins of the village, destroyed by Barbary Coast pirates, is an authentic sight which should not be missed. Experience the religious fervour of the local inhabitants by visiting the Santa Maria Natività church (19C) and, a little further along the valley, the San Ghjuvani Battista chapel, the only Pisan work of architecture in southern Corsica. 2km from the village, head off to visit the remains of prehistoric huts at the Alo-Bisujè archaeological site discovered in 1963.
