Screening of the film "Always - Une lettre à l'enfance" directed by Deming Chen, on Saturday 14 February at the Sollacaro library.
Synopsis:
Gong lives in the mountains with his father and grandparents, peasants trying to escape poverty.
He hasn't seen his mother since he was three months old.
While helping out in the fields or at home, the child watches the birds, makes straw hideaways and writes poems about the feelings that run through him. He learnt to write poetry at school.
But soon Gong grows up, and the harsh reality of adulthood gradually becomes his own.
Has childhood gone forever?
The screening will be followed by a debate and a Spuntinu, an opportunity to discuss the film's themes and share a convivial moment.
For the Spuntinu: everyone is invited to bring whatever they'd like to share.
Admission is free.
