In the heart of the Alta Rocca massif, a passionate guide shares much more than just a simple hike: he immerses visitors in the real Corsican mountains, where they experience life, traditions and encounters. The son of a shepherd, he grew up among the flocks and peaks of Bavella, before becoming a professional fireman, mountain rescuer and state-certified mountain guide. With ten years' experience in rescue and guiding, he now offers a different way of discovering his native land - through its paths, its stories and its people.
His hikes are a real immersion in authenticity: from the Purcaraccia waterfalls, a natural jewel with crystal-clear pools of water, to the Pozzines of the Coscione plateau, a veritable green carpet dotted with streams, not forgetting the off-trail routes of Bavella, sometimes punctuated by a refreshing swim. Each outing is a journey through wild nature, memory and emotion, punctuated by the stories of a local boy and girl.
Hikers also share moments of conviviality over a meal in a sheepfold or refuge, meeting shepherds, woodcutters and muleteers, living witnesses to a heritage that is still vibrant. From April to October, regular weekly departures are scheduled to visit the must-see sites, while outside this period, personalised outings are organised on request, with the possibility of discovering the mountains on snowshoes during the winter.
With a capacity limited to twelve people, these excursions are designed to be intimate and human, guided by the same promise: to help you discover the authentic Corsican mountains, the ones that you live, feel and pass on.
