Meridianu, a Corsican polyphonic group, invites you to come and discover its artistic universe, set against a backdrop of traditional Corsican song and paghjella.

Both singers and musicians, the three of them possess all the nuances of polyphonic singing, particularly paghjella, which they have been practising for many years.

Aware of the need to preserve these songs, which have been classified as world heritage by UNESCO, they have not hesitated to give up their time to introduce young singers and even choirs to the various traditional forms of Corsican song.

The trio are also keen to express the day-to-day life of their island through their own songs, without forgetting to keep an attentive eye on the everyday events experienced by other peoples elsewhere in the world.

The musical instruments used to accompany the voices vary from concert to concert, but guitar, cetera, violin and accordion are the most common. Various other small, homemade wind instruments can be used to add colour to the singing.
