The PETRU SANTU series is part of the MAD IN CORSICA Collection (Humour/Satire).
Petru Santu plays a humorous old Corsican, for whom the clock of progress has ticked far too fast.
He looks at his contemporaries with a satirical eye, devoid of malice. The Petru Santu series takes a caustic look at contemporary issues such as urbanisation, waste treatment, respect for the environment and racism.
In a series of gags, this anti-hero from Zigunaccia is portrayed alongside his faithful companions: Catalì his wife, Ange his cousin, the donkey Muschettu...
The originality of this series is to offer the public a humorous view of Corsica, free from clichés such as laziness or violence.
It is the brainchild of local authors who live on the island, and for whom current events are a source of inspiration.
