Situated at an altitude of 450m, nestling in the Taravo valley halfway between Petreto Bicchisano and Porto Pollo. Developed from the 15C onwards by the lords of Istria, the village is striking for its fine old façades, and the vaulted passageways and numerous porches which give it a unique character. Not to be missed: the site of Filitosa; Calvese mill; Filitosa fair; Santa Maria Annunziata church; and the Baroque-style Sant?Alparti church in Calvese.
