A jewel of the island’s megalithic art and regarded by scientists as one of the most enigmatic cultural sites in the Mediterranean and one of the finest collections of prehistoric art in Europe, Filitosa offers a panorama of 8,000 years of human history.
Filitosa has something for everyone, from the beauty of its archaeological remains to the richness of its unspoilt natural environment.

The prehistoric and archaeological remains immerse visitors in the history of Corsica.

The famous Cauria stone alignments are situated in the heart of the maquis, on a vast site that reveals many other treasures.

The menhirs and menhir statues known as “I STANTARI” and “RINAGHJU” are made of standing granite stones and bear witness to human occupation of the site dating back to the Neolithic period.

The Funtanaccia Dolmen is the best-preserved in Corsica.

The archaeological site is located near Sartène, on the road to Tizzano.
