A not-to-be-missed event

Take a stroll along the jetty, admiring the sailboats, fishing boats and pleasure craft moored there. This path will take you to the commercial port and one of the symbols of the town: the Scoglio Longo lighthouse. Standing 17 metres high, it guides sailors with its white and green sector lights, which illuminate every 12 seconds. It is undoubtedly Propriano’s most photographed landmark.

At the foot of the lighthouse, relax on a magnificent golden sandy beach, around 400metres long. An ideal spot for a break, sunbathing or a moment of contemplation.

Festive atmosphere in the port

When the sun begins to set and the heat becomes milder, Propriano’s harbour changes its face. As night falls, it becomes a vibrant place to stroll and meet people. The quays gradually light up, the terraces fill up, and the sea air mingles with the scents of local cuisine. During the summer season, particularly in July and August, the port comes alive in the evenings.

Open-air concerts, often free of charge, are organised directly on the quay or in the immediate vicinity. Local musicians, Corsican groups and visiting artists create a warm, festive atmosphere where locals and holidaymakers alike can enjoy a good-natured get-together.

The bars, ice-cream parlours and restaurants lining the harbour also contribute to this lively atmosphere. Some offer themed evenings, live music and entertainment for all ages. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a fresh fish dish, sip a drink on the terrace or simply admire the reflection of the lights on the water.

This unique night-time atmosphere, both relaxed and lively, makes the port of Propriano an unmissable place to end the day in style.
