Walking the Mare è Monti Sud trail means taking the time to discover a different side of Corsica. Nestled between the sea and the mountains, the trail links villages, maquis and forests, offering magnificent panoramic views of the coastline at every turn. A trek through unspoilt countryside, taking in the landscapes and villages of ‘Corse des Origines’.

Leaving Porticcio, the Mare è Monti Sud (from the sea to the mountains) will take you to Propriano. This route invites you to explore both the traditional Corsican interior and the enchanting shores of the Ajaccio and Valinco gulfs.

The Mare a Mare Sud is the ideal route for capturing the contrasts, diversity and richness of Corsican nature.

From Porticcio to Propriano

  • 66km in total

This medium-intensity route is accessible to all. The best times to walk it are spring and autumn. It is advisable to prepare your walk well in advance.
