01

Cauria

Above and beyond the beauty of the site nestling in the heart of unspoilt nature, the Cauria site is above all a veritable archaeological treasure trove containing fascinating Neolithic remains that bear witness to the ancestral history of the Valinco Sartenais region. Notable discoveries include menhirs and megalithic sites, reminders of the presence of ancient civilisations that have been rooted in this landscape for millennia. These remains are an integral part of the surrounding nature and add a unique historical dimension to the region. Cauria is a special place, where you can travel through time in the footsteps of our ancestors.

02

Filitosa

Megalithic monuments dating back to the early Bronze Age already demonstrate the importance of spirituality in Corsican societies during this period. This is the case for the archaeological site of Filitosa, guardian of the exceptional wealth of the first civilisations (around 4,000 BC).
The site also boasts a museum giving visitors a glimpse into the daily life of early man. Travel back in time and discover the relics uncovered during the excavations: ancient ceramics, fragments of tools, documents, photographs and explanatory sketches… A unique experience to share!
