At the heart of the village of Olmeto, the church of Santa Maria is an emblematic building in the local heritage, bearing witness to the history and religious traditions of the commune.
This Romanesque parish church is thought to have been built as early as the 9th century. Restored in 1980, it houses some remarkable Stoltz organs dating from 1850, which have also been restored, adding to the artistic richness of the site.
A place of life and meditation, the church still sets the pace for village life through its celebrations and traditions.
