Description
Conceived as a theatrical ring comprising a prologue and twelve rounds, *Fructidor* draws on the figure of Charlotte Corday and the idea of revolution to create a vibrant, playful and political form. Performed by four actors, the show blends theatre, music and stage writing to examine, from a contemporary perspective, the imaginaries of uprising and the possibility of overturning the established order.
A production accessible to all, a lively, playful, edgy and political musical. A rich tapestry built around Charlotte Corday’s act (the assassination of Marat), the upheaval it represents, its theatrical dimension and what it raises: the urgent and dramatic question of overturning the established order.
