FÊTE PATRONALE DE SARTÈNE – SAINTS CÔME ET DAMIEN

The Town of Sartène invites you to a day celebrating tradition, togetherness, conviviality and festivity, to mark the patron saint’s day of Saints Cosmas and Damian. From 10.00 am, the festivities will begin with the blessing of the stalls and the opening of the farmers’ and craft market, offering a chance to discover the local craftsmanship and produce. An exhibition of old photographs, ‘En classe!’, will also be on display in the courtyard of the former convent, curated by MF Chiaramonti and AP Sampieri. Programme • 10.00 am – Start of the festivities, blessing of the stalls and the farmers’ and craft market. • Exhibition of old photographs, ‘En classe!’, in the courtyard of the former convent, presented by MF Chiaramonti and AP Sampieri. • 11.00 am – Mass at the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian. • 12.00 pm – Lunch buffet provided by the town’s religious associations. • 5.30 pm – Procession followed by the blessing of the town. • 8.00 pm – Grand charity concert at the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian, in aid of the SPES association, featuring Paul Mancini, Jean-Paul Poletti, the Sartène Choir and Terra Mea. Throughout the day, there will be activities for children. A festive and convivial day to come together, keep Sartène’s traditions alive and celebrate the town’s producers, craftspeople, organisations and cultural figures.
