Description
To mark European Heritage Days, the village of Olmeto is opening its doors and offering a programme packed with discoveries, traditions and opportunities to meet local people.
Saturday 19 September:
10.00–19.00 ‘Mimoria d’Ulmisgiani’ photo exhibition at the smithy (with puzzles to solve)
9.30 am Cleaning and restoration of the “Funtana di Canni” and the wash house with Olivier Simonpietri and the ‘Fighjula i petri’ association
10.00 am–12.00 pm and 4.00 pm–6.00 pm: visit to the war memorial
4.30 pm Guided tour of the village
Sunday 20 September:
10 am–7 pm “Mimoria d’Ulmisgiani” photography exhibition at the smithy (puzzles to solve)
2.00 pm: Tour of the Bronze Age ‘Cuntorba’ site with archaeologist Kéwin Pêche-Quilichini and a discovery game for children
5.30 pm Bread baking in the village oven
A friendly gathering to share the village’s history, traditions and memories.
