Here, the wind shapes the dunes just as much as the sea does. Tenutella, the largest beach at Olmeto Plage, runs alongside the mouth of the Taravo in a landscape where the wide-open spaces have retained all their authenticity.
As the seasons pass, the dunes shift, the light changes and the river flows into the Mediterranean, shaping a vibrant coastline where every visit reveals a different aspect.
Heading north along the sandy shore, the coast leads to the mouth of the Taravo and on to the fishing village of Porto-Pollo.
