RANDONNEE CARITATIVE > LA STRAPPATA DELLA ROCCA

From 27 September to 3 October 2026, the Sartène-based charity SPES is launching the first edition of *La Strappata della Rocca*, a charity walk linking the Bavella massif to Sartène via the Alta Rocca and the Sartène region. Over the course of a week, walkers will cover nearly 150 kilometres through the mountains, following ancient mule tracks and restored routes in particular, to highlight the sometimes little-known heritage of inland Corsica. Beyond the sporting challenge, this adventure carries a message of hope and solidarity, with a fundraising drive in aid of causes related to children and health, notably in support of the A Te Carlucciu charity and projects backed by Œuvre d’Orient. Local residents and walkers will be able to join the participants at various points along the route and help to keep this chain of solidarity alive throughout the crossing. The walk will set off on Sunday 27 September at 8.00 am from the Bavella Sanctuary, with a meet-up at 7.30 am for those wishing to accompany the walkers at the start. The walk is due to finish in Sartène on 3 October.
