Marie-Lou, the director of a care home for the elderly, attempts to introduce an innovative care philosophy based on listening to and respecting the dignity of the residents, despite the reluctance of some of her staff. Her encounter with Mari, a Japanese theatre director battling cancer, is set to change the course of her life. As they form a deep friendship, the two women join forces in a fight to “make the impossible possible”.
