Description
Following a traumatic event, three young Corsicans find themselves faced with an age-old choice: to live with the burden of dishonour or to seek to wash it away through violence and bloodshed.
Maria, Antò and Barthé, childhood friends, live in a small Corsican village.
Each has committed themselves in their own way to the island, convictions which have at times set them at odds with one another.
After a protest that turns violent, they are violently arrested at their home.
Maria is then sexually assaulted by one of the police officers.
Faced with their friend’s despair, Barthé and Antò find neither comfort nor answers from those around them.
Gradually, they turn to radical action and consider murdering the police officer, convinced that this is the only way to avenge Maria and restore her dignity.
