Description
Also known as the Aglio Tower, the A Calanca Tower stands on the Olmeto coastline, opposite Propriano, in the Gulf of Valinco. Surrounded by maquis and facing the Mediterranean, it bears witness to the ancient network of towers that once served to guard the Corsican coastline.
Restored by a private owner, it is now one of the heritage landmarks of the Valinco coastline.
Facing Propriano and its harbour, its silhouette blends into a landscape where heritage, maquis and the Mediterranean meet.
