Throughout the summer, head to Sartène for a major summer pétanque tournament centred on fun and camaraderie.
Open to all, this series allows enthusiasts and casual players alike to get together every week to enjoy a game of pétanque.
🕡 First throw every Wednesday at 6.30 pm
The tournament is played in doubles (teams of two players). Each team is guaranteed to play four matches at each stage.
An overall ranking is compiled throughout the series using a points system:
1 point for taking part;
1 point per win;
1 bonus point for 4 wins.
Every match won counts and helps teams climb the rankings ahead of the grand final.
The entry fee is €15 per team, comprising:
€10 for the prize fund;
€5 earmarked for the final.
At each stage, a prize fund of €200, plus the participants’ stakes, is up for grabs:
teams with four wins share 40 per cent of the prize fund and the stakes;
teams with three wins share the remaining 60 per cent.
Grand Final
The highest-ranked players at the end of the circuit will be selected to take part in the grand final, to be held on Thursday 27 August as part of the 10th edition of the Sartène Boc.
