Description
The estate kicks off its season of themed weekends with A Tumbera, one of the iconic events celebrating the Corsican art of living.
When the first chill of winter sets in, it is time for the Nustrale pig, reared free-range in the maquis.
A Tumbera celebrates far more than just a culinary tradition: it embodies a way of being together, inherited from Corsican villages where people used to gather round the preparation of cured meats, combining expertise, the passing on of traditions, shared meals and conviviality.
At Murtoli, this tradition is brought to life alongside those who passionately carry on these practices to make figatellu, prisuttu, coppa…
On the programme: a charcuterie workshop, a rustic ‘spuntinu’ in the olive grove and two dinners to celebrate Corsican tradition and gastronomy.
A first autumn weekend to come together, pass on traditions, taste and share, and experience the Indian summer in Corsica in a different way.
